WOMEN’S OUTPATIENT PROGRAM

Arizona Women’s Recovery Center (AWRC) offers a Women’s Outpatient Program and recognizes that recovery for women requires forging a path to independence and empowerment. In addition to dealing with addiction issues, AWRC’s program focuses on the development of life skills, resolution of life issues, creating goals, re-enforcing values and building self-image.

The program was developed on a time frame of at least one year. This allows the women to master skills vital to their recovery, to strengthen a support system, to increase their ability to financially provide for themselves and their children, to practice parenting skills with continued monitoring, to increase self-esteem, and to learn to believe in themselves.

AWRC focuses on breaking down barriers that make it difficult for women to access treatment and continue in their recovery programs. Each client is assigned a case manager who identifies the woman’s barriers and assists with resources to enable her to participate in the treatment process. AWRC assists with transportation (for some health plans), coordinates benefits, offer psychiatric evaluations and medications, and supportive housing. The AWRC staff is highly involved in networking with other service providers within the community, which increases access to many additional resources that AWRC would otherwise be unable to directly provide.

The Women’s Outpatient Program consists of three levels, each designed to enhance the development of a strong recovery foundation.

Level I: Meets for group three mornings per week with a strong emphasis on:

Level II: Meets for group two mornings per week with a strong emphasis on:
