REVIEWS
Today, I thought about how far I have come. I’m proud of myself. I’ve never felt so much worth and value. I’ve made it. I am so grateful for what I have, so many blessings in my life. It’s because of AWRC and these people who taught me values and morals, gave me everything I have today. If it weren’t for them, I don’t know where I’d be.
Day by day I was just selling my soul. You get to a point where there’s nothing left to sell. At Weldon House, I learned how to make friends, how to budget, time management, keep my home, and be a good parent.
There was a void in my heart. I didn’t feel accepted; didn’t feel like I fit in. I couldn’t get high enough to forget that I was going to lose my baby and my family. Then, I found AWRC. They placed me at Legacy House. I spent two weeks on methadone – an extraordinarily short time for detox – but I was determined not to place my baby in any more danger…They gave me the support that I needed through everything. They’ve been there for me no matter what. They helped me feel wanted.
